Carpet cleaning in Mckinney

Carpet cleaning is one of those areas in life where your mother definitely knew best. While it is always best to call a professional carpet cleaner how many of us actually do every time there is a spill? The carpet cleaning market is awash with chemical spot cleaners claiming to remove any stains. The problem with these chemical spot removers is they can got harm to the fibers of your carpets, significantly shortening the life of your expensive carpet and leading to high replacement costs. If you are interested to know more, take a look at Carpet cleaning in Mckinney.  Before the times of chemical cleaners at the supermarket our mothers had plenty of alternative carpet cleaning methods that were just as effective as certainly less damaging. Below is a list of the best home carpet cleaning tips for common house hold spills.CANDLE WAX: Start by removing as much of the dry wax from the carpet as you can, a butter knife or credit card work well. When you have removed the excess wax place a damp towel over the area and use a warm iron to melt the wax. The steam draws the wax onto the towel. You only need a damp towel as you do not want to make the carpet underlay wet.LIPSTICK: Try covering the lipstick in Vaseline. Rub the Vaseline into the stain and then remove any excess Vaseline. Clean the area with a damp cloth using warm soapy water.BUBBLE GUM: There are four different solutions to getting bubble gum out of carpets. The first is the ice trick. Try to freeze the gum and crack it off with a piece of ice but be sure to mop up any of the water that gets on the carpet. The second method takes a bit more bravery: peanut butter. Rub peanut butter over the gum and leave it for a few minutes to soak in. Use a damp rag in a picking up moment to take the gum and butter off the carpet. Use a clean damp cloth to clean off any excess peanut butter. The last two methods are the same but use either WD-40 or lighter fluid to dissolve the gum.MUD: use a foaming shaving cream. Place the cream on the mud for a few minutes then dap the spot with a clean cloth.COFFEE or TEA or TOMATO JUICE: First mop up any excess liquid use paper towel. Then using a little bit of soda water dap at the stain to remove. Be sure to fully dry the area.BLOOD: Some people recommend a solution of ½ cup cold water and one teaspoon of ammonia to be sprayed on to the area and then blotted up. Not everyone has ammonia sitting around the house and r method is the shampoo trick. Put a small amount of shampoo on to the stain, allow to sit for a minute. Use a damp cloth to dap the stain from the carpets.  For more info, visit Carpet cleaning in Mckinney.
